the First Snow

Just in case you didn't notice... we got a foot of snow yesterday. It was a record for Indianapolis, something like the most snow in 13 years.

I love snow days. We get to bundle up and stay inside, get cozy, have a fire... and even though it's not my personal favorite, it's a given that you must play in the snow. It's a childhood right of passage. (Which reminds me of a totally unrelated snow story... maybe I'll tell you tomorrow.)

This was BabyBug's first time actually getting to "play" in the snow. She spent most of it in tears. It was wonderful.
First, we had to get all geared up... and she really didn't like that.
There were a few moments of semi-happiness. Intrigue and novelty, maybe?

She didn't really feel like playing in the snow, though. And she didn't like the taste of it. at. all.
...and finally the gloves just got to be too much, and the crying started again.

One last shot, Bug. Just to prove that we made it out here.
