Happy St. Patrick's Day!

On St. Patrick's Day, Lily and I went over to Raymond Park for a special program they had for the kids. We got to make a shamrock cookie and go swimming, just the two of us, which was such a nice treat.

For dinner we celebrated the holiday in style with a delicious family feast of "Green Eggs & Ham."
If you can get past the look of green scrambled eggs, it was really quite delish. With a side of cheesy spinach, it was a wonderful St. Patty's Day at our house!

When I grow up...

This week, Lily told us,
"When I grow up I'm going to be a doctor! And a PET!"

Such lofty goals.

Little Artists

Our little girls love to paint/draw/write/sculpt - anything they can get their hands on to be creative. The crayons just stay out, because I'd rather have it on the walls then have to get them out over and over again. (And really they are both very good about not writing on things other than paper - or each other.)
Not to be outdone, Little Violet has to do everything her big Sis does, so she's finger "painting" with vanilla pudding (dyed pink).

Back in January, J and I went on a cruise. When we left, Lily could draw circles and scribbles... when we can home, she was drawing people. EVERYWHERE. Now she only draws people and flowers. We have chalkboards in lots of places all over our house. Now every one of them has always has a picture of a person.
